Behind the Shot.

Venturing up Owl Creek Pass near Ridgway, Colorado, I embarked on what proved to be an unexpectedly challenging hike. A true test of endurance. Laden with a heavy backpack carrying all my camera gear, the difficulty intensified. Arriving at the summit just as the sunset reached its peak, I had no time to spare. With swift precision, I captured the fleeting moment before the colors and light vanished. The journey back proved even more formidable. Nightfall descended, and the dense, pitch-black woods obscured the path. For a brief period, I found myself lost in the labyrinth of shadows. However, determination prevailed, and I navigated my way out of the darkness. This singular experience, a quest for a single moment in the dwindling light, epitomized the challenges and rewards that often accompany the pursuit of capturing nature's ephemeral beauty.
