Ephemeral Whispers

Behind the Shot.

On Mount Blue Sky, during a seemingly lazy day, a sudden urge to capture the sunset swept over me. With just an hour left until the sun dipped below the horizon, my desired location was an hour's drive away. Without hesitation, I grabbed my gear, jumped into the car, and sped off. As I approached the spot, the sun vanished behind a thick bank of clouds, and my hopes sank. Undeterred, I continued driving. Upon reaching my destination, the unexpected happened. The sun burst out from behind the clouds, casting a golden warmth over the entire hillside. Despite being at an altitude of around 13,000 feet, I sprinted, gasping for air, knowing this magical moment was fleeting. Forced to find a composition swiftly, I framed a scene that spoke to the golden glow bathing the landscape. Just as I finished shooting, the sun dipped below the horizon, leaving me grateful for the fleeting but magnificent experience. It was a reminder of nature's unpredictability and the beauty that often unfolds in the blink of an eye.
